Mt.Lao is situated at the southeast of the city, about 40km away from downtown. It holds the highest peak along the coastline of China, Jufeng, at an elevation of 1133m. Occupies a vast area of 446 square kilometers, it is basically possible that anyone could collect all the beauty of Mt.Lao in one trip. Here is one of the birthplace of Taoism, a philosophical tradition of Chinese, which shrouded this area in mystery and make it even unique to other tourism destinations. Mt.Lao contains seven scenic spots called Jufeng, Liuqing, Taiqing, Qipanshi, Yangkou, Beijiushui and Hualou. People can travel on four main touring routes of south, east and centre line in overland. The other one is by waterway. The south route will be the one that is recommended most. Since you could visit to Taiqing Palace of Taosim, Huayan Temple of Buddhism, and appreciate the bay from the hill top of Yangkou. You can also have more joy from waterfall or cableway sightseeing along this route.
